Dwayne Johnson Confirms Furious 8 Return!?!

Fast and Furious is the Biggest money-making franchise for Universal, so of course the show must go on, now Dwayne Johnson Confirms Furious 8 Return.

Like the Fast and Furious franchise, Dwayne Johnson is one of Hollywood’s highly sought-after action-film leads, so it’s only right that Hobbs returns for another installment.

However, The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson has proven his ability to work his physicality and delivery, but could the action star is much more the thrills. He is a far more ambitious comedic actor as well, hiding behind the tonnage of brawn, but its his brawn that has movie goers lining up for tickets. Take for instance his upcoming natural-disaster bonanza San Andreas, starring Johnson and Carla Gugino, which is getting such a huge push in a summer full of costumed superheroes and dystopian desert chases.

Dwayne confirmed at a recent press conference for San Andreas that Hobbs, his character in the Fast & Furious franchise, will be returning for the recently announced, inevitable Furious 8.

Here is what CelebNMusic247.com has learned [via Collider] when Dwayne revealed at a press conference in regards to Hobbs returning to Furious 8:

Recently they announced Furious 8 will hit screens in 2017, will Hobbs be back for another round?

The Rock replied:

“Of course. It can’t go on without Hobbs.”

There may be a bigger spot for Hobbs since the talks of a Hobbs Spin-off is still in the works.

Johnson also responded to the continued talk of a Hobbs spin-off film, which was originally rumored to see release between the sixth and seventh iterations of Fast & Furious.

The answer is a definite maybe, as Johnson reported having a recent “big” studio conversation to discuss the possible Hobbs spin-off, which could prove to be the major guns-and-explosions franchise that Johnson has yet to secure in his career thus far.

Johnson certainly deserves his own chance to press the detonator button, since Bruce Willis’ Die Hard franchise continues on for more than a decade with John McClane.

Johnson weighed in on the possibilities of a Hobbs solo film:

“We all are interested in it. I just had a big conversation with the studio. So we’ll see. I still think for me personally we’ve created a little bit of space for him in 7 and the gauge is set for what the audience will want. That’s my take on it, you know, but a lot of other people have to have input.”

We wonder if this will also include Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto in the franchise?

As for, Furious 8, it is scheduled for release April 14, 2017.
