(CelebNMusic247-News) X-Men Producer Gunning For Channing Tatum as Gambit
An X-Men: Days of Future Past producer has said that she wants Channing Tatum for a solo super hero mutant Gambit film.
Gambit is one of our favorite mutants, and back in September we reported that Channing revealed that he wanted to take on the X-Men role.
Now Lauren Shuler Donner has revealed that the 21 Jump Street actor is on board to play the Cajun mutant.
Donner told Empire:
“I’m dying to do a Gambit movie with Channing Tatum.”
“That doesn’t have to be a great big movie. It’s a thief in New Orleans, it’s a whole different story.
“He’s on board, and I have to get the studio on board. How can anyone resist Channing? He’s such a sweetheart.”
Tatum has previous indicated that he would be interested in playing the character.
ALthough we loved Taylor Kitsch (John Carter, Battleship) cameo as Gambit in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine was poorly received.
Channing Tatum can be seen this year in 22 Jump Street, Jupiter Ascending and Foxcatcher.
X-Men: Days of Future Past will arrive in UK cinemas on May 22 and in the US on May 23.
