Winona Ryder Confirms ‘Beetlejuice 2’!!!

Yes it’s true, Lydia Deetz is coming back to the big screen according to Winona Ryder who Confirms ‘Beetlejuice 2’ is in the works.

During a Late Nite talk with Seth Myers, Winona Ryder spoke about the upcoming sequel, although she wasn’t able to confirm anything more than it’s moving forward and that she’s going to be involved.

CelebNMusic247.com has been hearing talks behind the scenes since director Tim Burton and star Michael Keaton, who originally played “the ghost with the most”, have been vocal about wanting to return to this character for quite a while.

However, Ryder told Seth:

“Um, I think I can confirm it, because Tim Burton did this interview — like, it was very hush hush, top secret … and then he was doing some press for Big Eyes and he did an on-camera interview and he said, ‘Oh yeah we’re doing it and Winona’s going to be in it,’ and I was like [shocked face].”

Hey Beetlejuice is one of our favorite films, so the news of a sequel is A-A-AWESOME!

It’s almost been 20 years since we met Barbara and Adam Maitland back in 1998, played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin respectively, who haunt their home after dying in a tragic, yet humorous, car accident. When they’re unable to get the new tenants out of their home, they hire Beetlejuice, a tricksy spookster with his own sinister agenda, to do their job for them. And that was to scare poor dark and twisted Lydia and her parents. Obviously it didn’t work out and Beetlejuice has wanted sweet revenge ever since. With 17 years of anger and planning we expect the sequel to take it to a whole new level of comedy scare.

We know Tim Burton is the perfect man to helm the progect, but we hope Gena and Alec come back to reprise their roles, but we will see.
