(CelebNMusic247-News) Kanye and Kimmel Hash it Out
Tonight on Jimmy Kimmel he gave Kanye West a platform to explain himself and to end the silly beef that started over a spoof the Kanye felt was an attack on his genius and talent.
Jimmy kicked off the night setting the record straight that the beef was NOT a “marketing ploy” which AHH reported and that the beef was ALL real. Jimmy also added that it was odd to be put in such a situation with the G.O.O.D. Music artist.
On Wednesday night (Oct 9) Kanye and Jimmy both said that their beef was authentic during a 30-minute interview in which West discussed a range of topics including his artistry, paparazzi, family, fashion and the idea of celebrity.
Before Kanye stepped into the hot seat with Kimmel he did his normal monologue joking about the beef and then segwayed into Lie Witness News to show viewers hope stupid fans of music truly are. We are so disappointed that this is the level of fans that go to concerts and when made up rap artist are thrown at them they come up with answers lead singer names and talk about the artist movement. The sad part of all of it is that none of the rap star were real, so people do your research know your artist and take time to listen when someone asks you a question. Stop driving on dumb!
As for the interview which we found interesting, involving and great to watch, Ye was able to explain himself to the world and the media outlets who were hopefully watch like ourselves. Now remember, the fight broke out the day after Kimmel hired a child actor to portray West in a recreation of an interview West gave on BBC Radio 1 in which he discussed the limitations he’s faced as his fame has grown, among many other topics.
Bottom line, Kanye just wants to be heard which we already knew, but he explains how being a celebrity is a struggle, a fight and he feels like he’s hit his celebrity ceiling because the entertainment industry wants to keep him in his lane of music and keeps putting up walls. He touches on the fashion industry which he has been involved with for 9+ years and how he has a masters in art.
See Kanye West started out as a producer and when he finally got his break in with Roc-a-fella when Damon Dash put that chain around his neck, he explained. However, Kanye is finding it hard these days to do the things he want to do. He’s a 36 year old man striving to make a change and carve his name in the fabric of the American dream and in 100 years from now his name still be concidered a innovator. We get it! unlike most celebrity sites we too have a background in entertainment, producing and music, but we wanted to do something different and bring readers real news without the BS. We always try to keep our posts on the level, but we have a voice like any celebrity, and we always put our point of view on things.
With that said, we have some transcribed highlights of the interview since the episode has yet to air on the West Coast.
Ye felt offended by Kimmel because they both concidered each other as friends which Kimmel also said early on in the interview.
This is why Kanye was so upset, because this is what celebrities complain about to each other and how celebrity is like a zoo. Just a word to the foolish don’t get too close to the animals because they are not all friendly and some bite!
As for Kanye West, a artist who continues to fight the media in hopes to break the media he explains to Jimmy that he admits he is a genius, but if he didn’t say what most artists are afraid to say then he would only be lying to himself and the media.
Jimmy started off the interview saying after West walked on stage:
“I really felt bad about all this stuff, I did.”
West responded:
“Mmm huh,” unsure of how the talk would go, so he seem a bit defensive at first and then chilled and relaxed.
Kimmel said after West called himself a genius. West was objecting to the idea that he’s “just a celebrity.”
Adding:
“I don’t know if you know this, but a lot of people think you’re a jerk.”
Kimmel said.
“When you said you think you’re a genius, I think that upsets people,”
“But the truth is a lot of people think they’re geniuses, but nobody says it because it’s weird to say it. But it is most certainly more honest to say, ‘I am a genius.’”
Kanye replied and willing admitted that he’s weird, but aren’t all creative people. Don’t mistake that kid who sits in the back row in school or the kid who gets teased or bullied in school because most those kids are the celebrities, artists and music industry greats you all idolize.
Kanye explianed:
“I’m totally weird and totally honest and I’m totally inappropriate sometimes, and the thing is for me not to say I’m not a genius I’d be lying to you and to myself.”
West told Kimmel he’s often upset with his portrayal in the media but usually keeps his reaction to himself. Kanye knew Kimmel, so he felt he had a license to reach out by phone.
West adds:
“That elevates sometimes.”
“Jimmy does his thing, I do my thing, and at some point egos can flare up, and we kind of took it back to high school.”
And after Kimmel showed the highlights from West’s resulting Twitter rant.
Ye joked:
“You should have seen the second set of tweets,” which we have.
Then, West talked passionately about discrimination based on class, protecting his music publishing from covetous drug dealers, false humility and his thoughts on and experience with high fashion. He also ranted against the Hollywood Walk of Fame organization for denying his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, a star and reflected on his recent negative interactions with paparazzi.
“The way the paparazzi talk to me and my family is disrespectful also, you know what I’m saying?”
“We bring something of joy to the world. When people hear my music they have a good time, and I should be respected as such when I walk down the street. Don’t ask me a question about something you saw on the tabloids. Don’t try to antagonize me, because it’s not safe for you in this zoo, you know? Never think that I’m not from Chicago for one second.”
Kanye also touches on today’s society and how its not about celebrity its more about classism, which Jimmy says snobery which we agree. Kanye explains how society and entertainment is all about status and the divide of classes that creates all these walls. Making it difficult for his creativity to expand and do the things he wants, but its that same classim that makes it hard for everyone trying to make it. Even we have our difficulties with it because publicist, marketing companies all like to place everyone in a box but never take the time to see past their nose and how they could better themselves and who they work with if they actually put a valiant effort into their work – not letting it to be fueled by dollar signs, because if you create greatness the dollars will be inevitable and the effort would be legendary.
We agree with Kanye on everything except the Walk of Fame portion. As for the paparazzi, they should not be allowed on personal property between the hours of midnight to 6am – because hiding in celebrity bushes and hording celebrities on thier way to the airport is annoying. We know the paps wold like being snapped constantly so they really need to chill.
As for the beef between Kanye and Jimmy Kimmel it is officially squashed. As for Kanye, he just wants his privacy and not to be asked dumb questions from camera men who work for a celebrity gossip site that has 3 letters one being Z. he also is only 36 and has plenty of aspirations to strive to better his vision. Lastly, Kanye will always be Kanye – he will always say what he wants, speak what he feels and will always rebel from the media and entertainment machine, so don’t be shocked by his genius, his vision or his rants – he’s just speaking his mind!
