eOne Music also launched the projectâs first single, âFor the Loveâ featuring Meet Sims. It’s already been a year since we lost Pickens, better known at Chinx. His untimely and tragic death in Queens, NY last May sent shock waves throughout the Hip Hop world, especially in his hometown of New York City.
AHH reports:
While speculation was rampant, NYPD suspected that Lionel Pickens murder was somehow related to Stack Bundleâs death and offered a reward. Â But six months after Pickens murder NYPD had reportedly hit a wall and had no new leads on the case.
Like Biggie Smalls and Tupac, Chinx Murder has joined the list of  another rap star murder still unsolved. Chinx was affiliate of French Montanaâs Coke Boys. He signed to eOne Music in February of 2015 and was on the brink of stardom. His debut album was incrediable showing major potential to be one of hip hop next standout MC. He was diligently working on his debut album, Welcome to JFK.
Before his untimely death, Chinx was quoted talking about the album saying:
âIâm in a great space creatively, and itâs time to really play.â
Doug âBiggsâ Ellison, Chinxâs manager, added that watching Pickens develop as an artist was an amazing experience:
âHe had finally come into his own, musically. His work ethic was second to none.â
His potential as a rapper would have surely superseeded French Montana. Before we tell you about French check out this sic new single from the “Dope House” rapper as eOne prepares for his second release, âFor The Loveâ below:
