Despite 50 Cent’s fifth album “Street King Immortal” being pushed back, the hip hop mogul took to Twitter to shed some light on his views on hip hop’s current situation.
Let be real, this is something that has been said from artist like KRS One, Public Enemy and many of the founders of hip hop, because the music has lost it integrity with artists like Soulja Boy, Gunplay, Gucci Mane, and many more that speak about nothing except money, cars, watches and labels. Hip Hop was a movement about experience, uprising, a speaking from a street perspective. CNM247 has noticed the decline of hip hop as it transitions into it 4th decade of culture and evolution, but listen to what 50 Cent is saying, because the direction is pretty sad..
Here is what 50 Cent has to say on the current state of hip hop:
“I manage my self now that Chris Lighty has passed. I’m not going to rush my album out.now that I’m doing both job’s.”
“Hip hop has been damaged by fake fraudulent artist who just say anything.now it seems like authenticity means nothing. SMSaudio.”
Fif added:
“The culture is so confused a gangsta is bobbing to a cop LMAO think about it,It’s just the facts.SMSaudio.”
”Don’t ask for the old 50 an artist has to grow and do new things. If I just did that style of music the same a** holes would be saying,no good it’s the same.”
50 tweeted:
“I’m not impressed by some of the new artist it feels like nothings new stop following trends be your self. SMSaudio.”
“Rappers write cars,money,big house,big shot talk. The truth is they ain’t got it man for real.”
Then 50 Cent joked:
“It’s funny when a new artist try’s to go at me. Fool you got one car and it ain’t paid for yet. LMAO.”
”They can’t do MTV cribs cause they live in the f?ckingCAR LMAO my God #SMSaudio”
50 Cent makes some valid points, despite the Gunplay beef, and the Diddy & French Montana beef.
It truly sad the direction hip hop is headed.
