Kanye West Calls Out Media + Praises 'Destigmatizing Mental Health'CelebNMusic247.com reports that Kanye West aired out his thoughts over the week about “destigmatizing mental health,” TMZ and more.

On Saturday, Kanye West had this to say about the wanting to do an interview about mental health but says the “press is afraid.”

Kanye begins by saying:

No one would ever choose to end up in a mental hospital and diagnosed with a mental disorder but God chose me to publicly go through this journey and it is beautiful.

Then Ye points out:

I am able to experience first hand how people who have mental health issues get written off by society. Don’t listen to him cause he’s crazy. He’s washed cause he’s crazy etc…

Ye started off by saying:

People try to ‘handle you when they think you have a mental problem

He then called out the media being “afraid”:

I’ve been trying to do a serious interview speaking on mental health but it seems as though all members of the press are afraid to speak to someone who has been diagnosed but is still everyone’s favorite superhero.

He doesn’t blame people, he feels society need to learn together:

I don’t blame people for not knowing how to handle this that said we as a society will learn together.

Then he compares societies inappropriate way of handling mental health like how music tried to stop homophobia in the hip-hop community.

Ye states:

It reminds me of when I said stop hip-hop homophobia. It used to be ok for rappers to bash gay people just listen to certain rap records from the 90s and early 2000s.

He continued to explain his feelings toward the media, especially TMZ:

People said my career was over after TMZ. I need to show the world that we so-called crazy people will not be just written off.

Kanye West didn’t stop there, oh no, he went on to speak about how he wants people to stop calling his Tweets Rants and instead call them testimonials.

He said:

Perhaps we stop looking at my tweets as rants and start looking at them as therapy testimonials and some even ministry.

Then, he pointed out that he was glad to cut a certain person at TMZ out of his circle:

There was a handler with me at TMZ a so-called voice of reason that thank the lord no longer is in my circle.

He advises:

Keep squares out yo circle.

As for his mental health status, Ye gives props to Gucci Mane and Quavo for their new collab about being bipolar.

Mr. West states:

I love that we are destigmatizing mental health…Gucci Mane and Quavo have a song Bipolar this is so good for culture

He continues to speak about pushing forward, saying:

I’m loving the new music I’ve been working on. 6 months off meds I can feel me again. Remember when dark fantasy came out I used to tweet a storm also.

Kanye wanted to make a point that “you have to see and feel how happy I am and how strong my family is.” He assures everyone that he and his family “are even stronger because of this through the love and grace of God.”

He concluded with this video on how 2018 helped to expose people for who they really are:
