The Hollywood Walk of Fame is about to get a little bigger as the selection committee announced 35 new stars are about to be added including Batman, Julia Roberts, Spike Lee and 50 Cent.

The newest Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2020 inductees come from the entertainment industry, including television, live theater, radio, and film.

In the Motion picture category, celebrities include Mahershala Ali, Batman, Ruth E. Carter, Laurence Fishburne, Chris Hemsworth, Julia Roberts, Spike Lee, Octavia Spencer, and Italian screenwriter and director Lina Wertmüller.

In the recording artist category musicians include; Elvis Costello, Lucian Grainge, Billy Idol, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, Alicia Keys, Tanya Tucker, Andy Riedel, Alejandro Sanz, Mo Ostin, Andranik Madadian, Bobby Rydell, and Muddy Watters (posthumous).

50 Cent, aka Fofty, took the opportunity to announced that he will be getting his star posting to IG writing:

In the television category, Christina Applegate, Cindy Crawford, Terry Crews, Harry Freeman, Kathie Lee Gifford, Nigel Lythgoe, Milo Ventimiglia, Burt Ward (Robin), talk-show hosts Andy Cohen, Wendy Williams, Dr. Phil McGraw, and Andy Kaufman (posthumous).

In the live theater, and Live Performance include; comedian Dave Chappelle and Tony-winning performer Billy Porter.

In the Radio category is American radio journalist who is a Special Correspondent for National Public Radio and guest host of Weekend Edition Saturday Susan Stamberg.

In a statement, selection committee chair and Walk of Famer Vin Di Bona said:

This year’s choices were particularly unique. We were able to recognize the talents of 35 artists who have already built a legacy here in Hollywood. Also, we were able to celebrate many new talented artists who’ve touched our hearts in film, television, radio and a variety of musical categories.

On May 28th, F. Gary Gray received is star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As for Carrie Fisher, it is said to be getting her star (posthumous) in 2021.
