What will happen to Jamal Lyon on FOX’s hit series Empire? Well according to Jussie Smollett, He’s bidding farewell to the family Empire!?!

Get the latest details and possible spoiler from Jussie Smollett on the flip…

Last night on Empire fans were shocked when Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyon) was shot and rushed to the hospital.

Will Jamal Lyon die? What will happen to Empire? Will Lucious forever regret his last words to Jamal saying “he’ll celebrate the day he dies from aids?”

Without Jussie Smollett, the catalist and driving force of Empire and the success of the show, will the series fail?

Actor Jussie Smollett took to Twitter earlier this morning tweeting and started a firestorm of fans up in arms asking if Jamal Lyon will die on Empire!

Here is what we know from the show. Right now, Jamal is still clinging to life, but will he survive next week’s finale?

Now here is what Jussie Smollett said on Twitter that has fans in an uproar.

Smollett Tweeted:

“This is why we must watch how we treat people. We never know how long they have. Just in the blink of an eye. Gone. #empire”

He followed his first statement with this conclusion:

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time w/ @EmpireFOX. I love you all. Truth. Time 2 make a record & some movies. #Empire ?”

By the sound of it, Jamal will not be making season 3, and just when he found a hunk on the DL, his career was sky rocketing and he was leaving to start his own label. Doesn’t it always happen like that?

Smollett has been a fixture on the show since its debut in 2015, playing Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious Lyon’s (Terrence Howard) gay son who transforms into a music superstar. And now it can all possible be gone and the pull of a trigger?

Of course Fox is staying tight lipped about the season finale that has fans begging “Noooooooooo, NOT Jamal!”

A rep for Smollett and Fox have not yet responded. We will keep you posted, but if we go by Jussie Smollett tweet’s this is his last season. We are hearing from insiders that Jussie Smollett is leaving the show because he has movie offers and another TV series in the works. Now we are not sure how true this is, but if so we wish him the best and he will be missed on Empire. We do watch the show for his story line, Cookie and Hakeem. The rest is just filler.

But don’t threat, The synopsis for the episode says “after a life-changing experience, Jamal refuses to make music until his family ends its seemingly endless cycle of violence and fighting.” So there is hope that Jamal lives to see another season and reap some long-awaited revenge on his family.

Here is what Showrunner Ilene Chaiken said to Variety about the finale, saying:

“What happens next is about the consequences. Clearly, Jamal has been shot. It’s serious. It’s life-threatening. It happened because of everything that we’ve seen in the course of the season and all of the things that Lucious and Cookie have done, and the way they’ve lived their lives.”

Will keep watch Empire if Jamal dies?
