Monday is a trailer day, and this is the trailer. Per ComingSoon, the first trailer for The Beekeeper 2 has arrived, with Jason Statham returning as Adam Clay ahead of a January 15, 2027 theatrical release from Amazon MGM Studios.
The setup, per ComingSoon: the trailer opens with Clay looking over a fire in a valley as a bee lands on his fingers, while Jeremy Irons’ Wallace Westwyld narrates that the Beekeepers have gone rogue — and Clay is the only person who can stop them. Westwyld warns that the organization wants “complete control” of the government. Newcomer Pom Klementieff appears in an authoritative position inside the organization, per the same report.
From there, it is pure franchise grammar, in the best way. Per ComingSoon, Clay drives a 1969 Dodge Super Bee equipped with a stinger, and the trailer ends with Clay facing a henchman armed with a flamethrower — he stuffs the weapon into the man’s face, burns it off, and closes with: “Next time don’t be so hotheaded.”

Per Collider, Timo Tjahjanto — fresh from Nobody 2 with Bob Odenkirk — directs, replacing David Ayer, who departed for Brad Pitt’s Heart of the Beast. Returning alongside Statham and Irons, per ComingSoon, are Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi and Jemma Redgrave, with Yara Shahidi, Pom Klementieff and Adam Copeland joining the cast. Collider’s framing of the plot: Clay is dragged back into action after the organization goes rogue and sets its sights on former operatives, forcing him to take down the group that made him.
The 2024 original turned a phishing-scam revenge premise into a surprise hit. The sequel’s wager is scale: from one man’s vendetta to a rogue secret order trying to seize the government. January has become Statham season for a reason.
