Slayyyter has pulled two dates from her WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD TOUR after losing her voice, telling fans doctors advised her to stop before she does “further damage,” per Music-News.
The 30-year-old — real name Catherine Garner — broke the news on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Oct. 21. “Hey guys – I fully lost my voice and doctors are recommending that I cancel Copenhagen and Hamburg shows to protect further damage,” she wrote. “I’m devastated and wanted to play for you but I just can’t deliver a proper show.”
The cancelled dates are Vega in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Thursday, Oct. 22, and Fabrik in Hamburg, Germany, on Friday, Oct. 23. She said refunds will be available at the point of purchase, and no rescheduled dates for the two cities were announced in her message.
She closed with an apology and a promise: “I’m so sorry and hope to make it up to you soon. I love you guys so much.”
The plan, as she laid it out, is to use the gap to regain her voice and resume the tour in Warsaw, Poland, at Klub Palladium on Saturday, Oct. 24. The cancellations follow three straight nights of shows — Le Trianon in Paris on Oct. 18, Paradiso in Amsterdam on Oct. 19, and Die Kantine in Cologne on Oct. 20.
The 247 Take — Two nights off is a gut-punch for Copenhagen and Hamburg ticket holders, but a singer protecting the instrument is never the wrong call — voices don’t grow back on a tour schedule. Slayyyter told fans plainly, apologized plainly, and put the refunds where everyone can find them. Warsaw on Saturday is the test; here’s hoping the voice answers.
