The Offspring will take the stage without Noodles for the foreseeable future. In a statement posted to the band’s social media on Wednesday (Oct. 21), the guitarist announced he is stepping away from live performances to deal with what he called “a sudden and fairly serious health issue.”
Noodles did not share any details about the nature of the issue, and we are not going to speculate — what he chose to say is the whole story for now. “It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performances for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue,” he wrote.
He also made clear the band plays on with his blessing: “The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart.” He closed by thanking fans for keeping him in their thoughts.
Per Loudwire, it is not yet known who will fill in on guitar for the band’s upcoming shows. The Offspring’s next performance is scheduled for Oct. 24 in Los Angeles, and the band has only three more shows currently booked — two in November and one in January 2027. Full dates are listed on the band’s official site at offspring.com.

The Offspring Play On Without Noodles
The 247 Take — Forty years in, Noodles has never been anything but straight with Offspring fans, and this statement is no different: honest, brief, and asking for privacy without making a drama of it. The shows go on because he wants them to. Heal up, Noodles — the downstrokes will be waiting.
