We have received word that XXXtentacion was shot inside his vehicle while shopping for motorcycles, accrding to TMZ.

The website also reports that witnesses told police that a Louis Vuitton bag was taken from the rapper’s car. X was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead on Monday evening by the Broward Sheriff’s office.

XXXtentacion’s death follows a year in which the young artist experienced breakout commercial success that was frequently overshadowed by his alleged history of domestic violence. Onfroy was facing 15 felony charges, including counts of false imprisonment, aggravated battery of a pregnant woman and domestic battery by strangulation, for incidents involving his ex-girlfriend in 2016.

Broward Sheriff took to Twitter to official announce that the Plantation, FL native, X was pronounced dead:

#BreakingNews The adult male that was taken to the hospital has been pronounced dead.

X appeared in XXL’s 2017 Freshman list and released his first two studio albums, 17 and ?. Both projects charted near the top of the Billboard 200. He was one of the rappers who had the most potential, but we noticed that many on social media claim he was speaking on things he should have kept his mouth shut upon.
