(CelebNMusic247-News) Trey Songz Admits First Love Tainted Him
Trey Songz has made name for himself with his baby making music like R. Kelly, but the R&B singer says the character in Bagage Claim takes on has a reputation for being a jerk towards women.
But Trey explains that he is completely different from his onscreen character he portrays. The Virginia native continues to remain very loyal to his R&B roots, but he is also “straight up” when it comes to dating. He reveals that he “doesn’t lie about nothing in a relationship.”
Trey explains how he is when he’s in his own relationships, Songz goes on to say he’s an honest man who doesn’t try to hide anything.
He explains:
“My character is a little slimy…But as they say in Hollywood, it’s only an act. I’m pretty straight up, I don’t lie about nothing in a relationship.”
Yet the singer did admit he has broken hearts before as he spoke on a specific situation he encountered with a girl he was seeing:
“I was suppose to spend some time with this one girl [but] she got real busy. She was willing to put work to the side for me, but I didn’t want to mess her money up, so I was like ‘nah baby go ahead and handle that.’ I actually flew another girl to see me, and she found out.”
As a singer who writes his own music, Trey says he can truly relate to the things he sings about and reveals how the first girl he ever fell in love with hurt him to the core:
“I can’t write all these songs out of nowhere. The first girl I ever loved in high school, she cheated on me, I think that tainted me for a very long time.”
