Judge Refuses to Refund R. Kelly's Friend $100,000 Bail

R. Kelly appeared in court in Chicago Tuesday for a hearing on the state sex-crime charges against him. One person R. Kelly Friend Valencia Love wants her money back, but Judge Flood says she will lose the bail money since he was charged federally and landed in federal jail. – USAToday

Here is what is going on with R. Kelly’s Friend Loses Bail Money.

The judge says papers that R. Kelly’s friend Valencia Love signed clearly indicated she could lose the money.

Apparently, that is exactly what is happening. She paid his bail back in February to secure the singer’s release from the county jail.

Now, Love’s lawyer John Collins said in court Tuesday that she didn’t know when she paid 10% of a $1 million bond that Kelly would be charged federally and land in federal jail.

Collins said Love now fears to lose all the money as charges against Kelly stack up.

Basically, Love is now learning the hard way, sometimes you don’t put up money for someone that is in serious trouble with the law. Now, she is out $100,000 in bail according to Judge Lawrence Flood read sections of papers Love signed warning the bond money could be used for Kelly’s legal fees.
