Diplo has never been a man who sits still — and now he is quite literally soundtracking people who do not sit still either. Per the Sacks & Co. announcement, the Grammy-winning producer today unveiled “Let Me Cook,” a new collaboration with A$AP Ferg, as the first single from a forthcoming companion project built around Diplo’s Run Club, his 5K-race-plus-mini-festival series.

The track has not exactly been a secret. Per the release, Diplo has been road-testing “Let Me Cook” live at Run Club events all season, most recently at Sunday’s sold-out San Francisco race, where more than 12,000 runners turned out — and where Bay Area legend Too $hort and Kah-Lo joined him onstage for a surprise performance of an unreleased song. The companion project, cut in the studio over recent months with longtime friends and collaborators, is built as fuel: high-energy records designed to power runners and athletes through every mile.

The SoCal angle is the part our readers should circle on the calendar. Diplo’s Run Club lands at Los Angeles Historic State Park on November 8 and at Gallagher Square at Petco Park in San Diego on November 21, with a New York date at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on October 24 first. Three years in, per the release, the series has sold more than 100,000 tickets in its first two years and built a community of more than 300,000 fans — numbers that explain why it was named one of Fast Company’s 2026 Most Innovative Companies and picked up a 2026 Clio Award.

Ferg, for his part, is practically Run Club family. Per the release, he popped up at races last season alongside guest DJs Mark Ronson, A-Trak, Dillon Francis and TOKiMONSTA, and earlier this month he joined Diplo and Wiz Khalifa for an impromptu Ferg Strong 5K through Harlem. “Let Me Cook” also caps a monster 2026 for Diplo: a career-spanning Major Lazer set on the Coachella main stage in April, and executive-producing BTS’ comeback album ARIRANG in March, where he personally produced five tracks — the most of anyone on the project.

A DJ built a running empire, then made the album to run to. “Let Me Cook” is the starting gun.
