(CelebNMusic247 – News) The Exes Kristen Johnston Diagnosed with Lupus

The Exes star, Kristen Johnston took to her Facebook page revealing to fans that she finally has an explanation for why she’s been feeling so sick.

Kristen Johnston has been diagnosed with “a rare form of lupus called lupus myelitis.” Johnston is on the TV Land hit series The Exes, one of the best comedy sitcoms on TV today.

In regards to Kristen’s disease, Lupus Myelitis, it is a rare disorder of the nervous system linked to inflammation of the spinal cord, affecting about 1% of patients with lupus, according to the Lupus Foundation of America.

Johnston, 46, writes:

“I’m not trying to be ‘coy,’ ‘relevant’ or ‘get attention’…I just was diagnosed …”

Earlier, she wrote that she had been experiencing “full body muscle weakness” since September. It was so bad that the actress, who won two Emmys on 3rd Rock From the Sun and currently stars on TV Land’s The Exes, wrote that she needed a “neck brace to hold my head up.”

Johnston says it took four months, 17 doctors and “two-fun filled weeks in November partying at the Mayo Clinic before doctors finally figured out the cause of her ailments.

Kristen didn’t share the news right away with fans, but wanted to make them aware of her health, adding:

“I’m not on my death bead … far from it. I’m gonna be fine.”

I “Just wanted to have a few weeks of privacy to navigate it & receive treatment.” And the only reason she said anything, she writes, is because she will miss ” a few episodes” of the show.

We wish you good health Kristen – we love you – a wish you the best! We love The Exes.
