Packers Beat Cowboys 23-13 Behind Jordan Love
Green Bay’s third straight win was built on two Dak Prescott interceptions, an 11-for-18 night on third down and a 17-0 halftime hole Dallas never climbed out of.

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers did not need a shootout to beat the Dallas Cowboys. They needed one half of mistake-free leverage — and Dallas handed it to them.
Jordan Love passed for one touchdown and ran for another, and Trey Smack added three field goals as Green Bay beat Dallas 23-13 on Sunday night, per Reuters. The Packers (4-2) have won three straight, holding each of those opponents to 14 points or fewer, and improved to 8-1-1 in their last 10 games against the Cowboys (2-4), per Reuters.
The half that decided it
Green Bay opened with a 14-play, 90-yard drive capped by Love’s 9-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Golden, per Reuters. Then the turnovers arrived. Evan Williams intercepted Dak Prescott at the Green Bay 3 to kill one Dallas threat, and after a Smack field goal made it 10-0, Brandon Cisse picked off Prescott again when CeeDee Lamb fell down on his route, per Reuters. Love finished that gift with a 1-yard sneak 23 seconds before halftime: 17-0, and a Lambeau crowd smelling blood.
The numbers tell the control story. Love finished 23 of 41 for 276 yards with one interception, per Reuters, and Golden caught six passes for 104 yards and the opening score. Prescott completed 34 of 54 for 258 yards with one touchdown and the two interceptions, per Reuters — volume without leverage. Green Bay went 11-for-18 on third down to Dallas’ 5-for-13, per ESPN via BenchScout, and neither ground game mattered: the Packers ran for just 57 yards, the Cowboys 48, per Reuters.
Too little, too late
Dallas finally scored in the third quarter on Javonte Williams’ 1-yard run, per Reuters, and Prescott hit Ryan Flournoy for a 6-yard touchdown with 44 seconds left, per Packers Wire. But the two-point try failed, the onside kick skipped out of bounds, and Love took the kneeldowns.
“I want to make every throw,” Love said, per WSAU radio’s game report. “That’s the expectation. Stuff happens. Drops happen. Obviously, I want those guys to make those plays, and we’re capable of making those plays. But for me, it’s got to be the next play mindset.”
Next-play mindset, next-week problem: Green Bay plays the Lions in Detroit next Sunday, per WSAU. Dallas, at 2-4 with two straight losses, heads home with harder questions — starting with how an offense this talented scores zero points in a half.
