Channing Tatum HATES GI Joe Films!!!

When it comes the  GI Joe franchise, the Magic Mike XXL Channing Tatum HATES GI Joe Films saying I “f**king hate” it, the whole damn thing!

Channing Tatum opened up to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show, Tatum said that his early leading role was forced upon him by Paramount, and he doesn’t have good memories of the shoot.

CelebNMusic247.com has this report on Channing’s painful memory of his 2009 action film

“Look, I’ll be honest. I f**king hate that movie. I hate that movie.”

“I was pushed into doing that movie. [After] Coach Carter, they signed me for a three-picture deal. And as a young [actor], you’re like, ‘Oh my god, that sounds amazing, I’m doing that!'”

Tatum said that he didn’t want to taint the fictional soldier and that he actually wanted to play Snake Eyes, a role that was given to Ray Park.

He adds:

“The script wasn’t any good.”

“I didn’t want to do something that I thought was 1) bad, and 2) I just didn’t know if I wanted to be GI Joe.”

Although the movie SUCKED major @ss in Tatum’s book, he admits that starring in GI Joe helped make him a bigger star, and that it could have been a worse project.

He joked:

“I could have been given, I don’t know, Scream 5.”

Ouch! Sorry Neve Campbell.

“I’m super lucky and blessed to have been given that film. That was really not all that bad. [But you have] no option. ‘You’re doing this or we’re gonna sue you’.”

What is interesting is that Channing’s character Duke luckily was killed off in the sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation, within the first 15 minutes or less.

He must have voiced that he wanted his character killed off.

Tatum recently disappointed fans by ruling out an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse as Gambit. His debut in the comic franchise is due for UK release on October 7, 2016.

He will next be stripping off for Magic Mike XXL, which opens at US cinemas on July 1.

Tatum is currently filming 23 Jump Street and Gambit which should both hit movie screens in 2016
