CelebnMusic247.com has received word that Eric Holder has been convicted, the man charged in the killing of hip hop legend, Nipsey Hussle, was found guilty of first degree murder.
After the jury deliberated for six hours until reaching a verdict. The report says Eric was also facing two counts of attempted first-degree murder because two bystanders were hit by gunfire. However, the jury found him guilty of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter.
L.A. County Deputy Public Defender Aaron Jansen has wanted to prove Eric’s murder wasn’t premeditated over the last few weeks. He tried convincing a judge Eric’s move was a “passionate response” to the “snitching” accusations. Aaron told the jury today (July 6), that Eric didn’t “plan” Hussle’s murder and said Eric “didn’t mean to shoot the two bystanders.”
However, Deputy District Attorney John McKinney said there was “no doubt Eric knew he’d kill Hussle, adding that Eric shot Nipsey at least 10 times and kicked him in the head before running away.”
Before Nipsey’s life was taken away, there had been a dispute between Nipsey and Eric. Nip heard that Eric was a snitch and had paperwork on him. Deputy DA McKinny said the pair, along with two of Nip’s friends, had a “cool conversation” with Eric prior to the attack.
Holder’s trial was pushed back several times last year due to COVID-19. Another reason for the delay is the previous judge on the case retired, according to HNHH.
Nipsey, 33 at the time, was gunned down outside his Marathon clothing store. Surveillance video shows Eric was shooting from his left hand and his right hand. Prosecutors say Eric shot Hussle in the head and torso 10 or 11 times. Eric allegedly told Nip, “You’re through,” the prosecutor said. According to a jury transcript, Nip replied, “You got me.”
