Thus Spoke Zarathustra Debut ‘In My Dreams…’

By The Superfan — CelebnMusic247

Thus Spoke Zarathustra “Thus Spoke Zarathustra have never been shy about swinging big, but “In My Dreams…” is the Baltimore five-piece planting a flag. The new single and its official video are out now on Prosthetic Records, and frontman Andy Reynolds is framing it as a line in the sand: this is the band’s own identity, not a revival costume.”

“This song feels like what the band has been trying to do since the beginning,” Reynolds says. “It feels like a Thus Spoke Zarathustra song, not a Myspace deathcore revival song. This era of the band has its own identity rather than being put in a box.” The lyrics push the same point — knowing when you are choosing to believe something versus blindly following it. “Question everything… even God.”

“The lineup behind him — guitarists Evan McArthur and Scott Chan, bassist Bradon Albaugh and drummer Joey Bowers — builds the track the way the band has built its name since arriving in 2022: quaking deathcore breakdowns, properly executed death metal, and a streak of Gothenburg melodeath melody running through the middle of it. Regeneration is the band’s stated philosophy — shed the regrets, the insecurities and the heartaches, and inch closer to your potential — and “In My Dreams…” is that idea delivered at full volume.”

Thus Spoke Zarathustra Built to This

“The band were early to the revival deathcore wave and have been outworking the label ever since. Act Like You Don’t Know (2023) announced them, and last year’s I’m Done With Self Care, It’s Time For Others’ Harm (2025) turned heads well beyond the underground — Kerrang! made the case for TSZ as ones to watch off the strength of that half-hour barrage, and fan favorites like “I Can’t Save You” and “Gage Lanza 2: Return Of The Red Hammer” became calling cards. “In My Dreams…” plays like the next step rather than a victory lap: same ferocity, sharper focus.”

On the Road Through December

“The single lands with a serious run of dates attached. After a November 4 stop in Charlotte, the band joins Girls Of Glass and xMercyx for sixteen dates, then headlines a second leg with Destroy All! Humans, finishing with The Crimson Armada on select December dates. California gets two shots: San Francisco on November 28 and Pomona on November 29. Tickets are on sale now.”

“The 247 Take — Plenty of bands ride a revival; fewer outgrow it on purpose. “In My Dreams…” is TSZ saying the box is closed — and with Pomona and San Francisco on the route, California gets to judge for itself in November.”
