(CelebNMusic247-News) Channing Tatum talks playing Gambit in X-Men!
White House Down star Channing Tatum makes it known that he want to take on the role of Gambit in the next X-Men movie!
Magic Mike and White House Down star Channing Tatum has his eyes on playing Gambit in X-Men, but the only problem is Wolverine already established Taylor Kitsch (John Carter, BattleShip, Savages) as Remy LeBeau aka the card throwing New Orleans native Gambit.
Taylor Kitsch is a great actor and has shown great range and ability to take on whatever role comes his way. If anyone is to reprise the role of Gambit is should be Taylor. He was great in John Carter, which we believe was a great film, unfortunately it got panned by critics. If you check it out now, you’d see how good the movie actually is. Taylor hasn’t been fortunate when it comes to his lead roles in film with BattleShip bombing and Savages getting mediocre reviews, though Taylor keeps pushing forward. He is just as sexy, handsome and a bit more talented than Channing Tatum. The only thing for Tatum is that he has been in blockbuster after blockbuster making him the better choice to drive in fans to see Gambit back on the big screen.
While Channing Tatum was chopping it up about his and Jamie Foxx‘s new action blockbuster White House Down, Tatum revealed his passion for X-Men‘s Gambit.
The upcoming star of Jupiter Ascending and 22 Jump Street makes it clear his enthusiasm that he’d love to nab the role if it’s brought back into the X-Universe – and it’s hard to argue with his cajun accented, action-man credentials.
Not only that but Jamie Foxx hints very, very heavily at the appearance of the Sinister Six in The Amazing Spider-Man movie universe, and Electro’s appearance in the line-up.
Channing is currently filming 22 Jump Street and recently posted this on his Instagram along with the photo above.
Tatum writes:
“Filming on #22JumpStreet starts soon, but we wanna know…what’s your favorite funny line from#21JumpStreet?”
The New Orleans native, Channing Tatum tells Total Film why he wants to take on the role of Gambit in X-Men:
Taylor can be seen in the upcoming Lone Survivor and Almost Heroes 3D movies set to drop in 2014.
