(CelebNMusic247-News) Meek Mill Pays Tribute to Lil Snupe
While J. Cole stopped in Philadelphia on his “Dollar & A Dream” Tour over the weekend the Roc Nation artist brought out Philly‘s own, Meek Mill.
Mill performed his single “Levels,” and showed Cole some love before paying tribute to Lil Snupe. Just days earlier last week Mill’s teenage protege who was killed this week in Louisiana.
Meek Mill explains:
“I want to take one second to give a f**king rest in peace shout-out to my dawg, Lil Snupe.”
“My young n***a lost his life early in the game and I want to send a blessing to him and his whole motherfu**in’ family.”
Last week we broke the news that Meek Mills Dreamchaser artist was murdered over a dice game. We noticed last week, thanks to a suspicious tweet Mill was trying to warn Snupe, but it was too late. We also notice in a series of Tweet’s to Lil Snupe’s Twitter page that one Tweet was the last known photo of Lil Snupe before his untimely death. [Thankfully we have the photo since the Tweet has been removed].
And over the weekend Mill released this tribut video for Lil Snupe as a tribute to his fallen artist. Lil Snupe was Meek Mill’s up-and-coming artist until the 18-year-old rapper wastragically shot and killed on June 20.
The video for “Nobody” by Lil Snupe begins simply with a clip of the 18-year-old talking to the camera — our hearts just sink seeing this young talent alive and well, knowing that he wasn’t long for the world. A message from Meek Mill follows: “May you rest in peace/Forever a Dreamchaser.” Dreamchasers is the name of Meek’s record label, which had just recently signed Lil Snupe.
The intimate footage shown in “Nobody” of Snupe performing and just living life really captures him as a person and emphasizes how tragic his death is. He showed true signs of promise, and was taken far too soon.
