Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz Jacked G-Dep’s “Special Delivery” for “Uproar”

Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz Jacked G-Dep's "Special Delivery" for "Uproar"

Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz insult the hip-hop thread by jacking G-Dep’s “Special Delivery” for “Uproar” and try to pass it off as something new. #BOOOO

Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz hit song “Uproar” from Tha Carter V is a rip off of his song “Special Delivery” by G-Dep!

Now, producer Ez Elpee is BLASTING Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz, like he should for literally jacking the track for the single “Uproar.” Read on…

CelebNMusic247.com reports that Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V, not one of our favs from Weezy is lacking originality.

When it comes to Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz hit song “Uproar” we too were taken back at the literal jacking of “Special Delivery.”

After its released, “Uproar” became an automatic fan favorite and sparked the viral #UproarChallenge that Lil Wayne, Swizz Beatz, Shiggy and many others participated in. The song’s beat reworks G. Dep’s hit single, “Special Delivery” which was released in 2001.

What is more disturbing about the blatant track jacking is that Ez Elpee hasn’t received official credit on the album.

Doesn’t this all sound so familiar when it comes to a Carter album?

Lil Wayne over the years has had many issues with producers from not paying them to not giving them credit for the music he is given to spit on.

Elpee told HipHopDX about his original reaction to “Uproar” stating:

They stole my shit!

Elpee heard the record for the first time on September 28th. His reaction followed:

Seventeen years and now we’re having extra plays on the record … that was a hit record. It stood the test of time. I went into the comments or whatever, and [Swizz] is trying to downplay it. It’s just like if I took ‘Ruff Ryders Anthem’ and did it over and didn’t give him a credit for it … I know you need a record. I understand that. I know you’re trying to reinvent yourself. That’s dope. There’s nothing wrong with that. But like damn my n—a, like you trying to act like you never heard ‘Special Delivery?’

What is worse is that Swizzy and Weezy’s video is filmed the same way as Diddy and Dep’s video. Talk about a straight up rip off! #SMH

This is a bit sad to us because Swizz Beatz is always original with his music.

To hear “Uproar” and it’s straight up theft from G-Dep’s hit song “Special Delivery” bothers us. We can’t believe that Beatz would be this sloppy and lazy. He is a genius with his tracks, but to steal another man’s track and act like its new is foul. This is a side of Beatz we don’t want to know.

And for Weezy, man, Tha Carter V is an utter disappointment. There are three tracks worth listening too and “Uproar” is NOT one of them. Let the ones who think its new rock with that. We love “Special Delivery” and find it to be an insult to hip-hop.
