(CelebNMusic247-News) Lady Gaga Sued for Millions For Cancelled Gig
Just a few weeks ago Lady Gaga was forced to cancel her world tour after injuring her hip. The pop star was hospitalized for the surgery and was told she would not be able to perform for several months.
Now Gaga has been SLAPPED with a new lawsuit over the cancellation of her concert in Indonesia but this is from last year.
If you recall, last year Lady Gage was the center of controversy as fundamentalist protesters threatened to intercept her upon arrival in the country, thus forcing her to reconsider and cancel her appearance on June 3rd 2012.
Personally we don’t blame her, being held hostage against your will is not a good look!
Anyways, for some reason the promoters are taking legal action against insurers at Lloyds of London for allegedly failing to make good on a policy which covers losses for gigs axed due to “the sole and direct result of terrorism and/or sabotage or threat.”
Here’s the drop:
The lawsuit, filed in California federal court, accuses the insurance providers of denying coverage “based on language and purported conditions that are not contained in The Terrorism Policies”.
The promoters are demanding at least $75,000 to cover the losses, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Gaga pulled out of the remaining dates on her Born This Way Ball tour last month after being diagnosed with joint inflammation and a labral tear of her right hip.
It is estimated the cancellations will cost as much as $25 million.
