Key & Peele Rebooting Police Academy
Comedic duo Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele have signed on to produce the new Police Academy movie.
CelebNMusic247.com has learned that the Comedy Central successful sketch show duo Key & Peele will reboot the successful and long-running franchise. There has been no word is Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele will also star in the film, but we are hoping they do.
As for the roboots director, Scott Zabielski was originally on board, but has since left the project. Original producer Paul Maslansky is also back for the remake alondside Key & Peele.
Police Academy made its debut in 1984, starred Steve Guttenberg and Kim Cattrall, which focused on a group of incompetent misfits who join the Police Academy. It lasted seven sequels from 1984 -1989 and took a 5 year break till the last installment Police Academy: Mission to Moscow which hit screens in 1994.
Key & Peele, will return on Comedy Central for a fourth season this year.
