(CelebNMusic247-News) Kafani May Suffer Paralysis If He Survives Shooting
Bay Area native Kafani still lays in critical condition fighting for his life, after suffering multiple gun shot wounds while shooting a video last Weekend!
Now new reports are saying that Kafani, born Amir Rashad, might be suffering from paralysis if he does survive the attack.
Here’s the drop:
Kafani was shot at the intersection of East Oakland’s Seminary Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. According to investigators, the 33-year-old rapper was approached by a man who warned them not to film there.
Kafani was filming a video in the neighborhood as response to a diss record that was dropped by Seminary resident Philthy Rich. Rich made a reference to Kafani being gay in his song, “Swear to God.”
Kafani is in our prayers…
In related news to Kafani’s shooting, Inside Bay Area reports:
Rashad is based in Oakland, and is the founder of the group Babyface Assassins, according to his official website. In November 2011, police said Rashad was at the scene of a West Oakland shooting in which eight people were shot, including 23-month-old Hiram Lawrence Jr., who later died. A van belonging to the rapper was riddled with gunshots, police said at the time.
The day of that shooting, the toddler’s father, producer Hiram Lawrence Jr., was shooting a music video with two fellow rappers that disrespected a gang from the Acorn public housing project, according to court testimony in April. The testimony was given in a preliminary hearing for Fredrick Coleman, who is one of three people accused of firing at least 40 bullets into the group of people on Nov. 28, 2011.
