CelebNMusic247.com reports that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have acquired a $40 million estate on Star Island, and locals are apparently welcoming their arrival open arms.
Apparently, Jennifer Lopez, 51, and Alex Rodrigue, 45, star status mean a lot to the real estate in the area.
According to reports, the couple could help to inflate the housing market in Miami. Some residents believe that the loved-up duo will send prices soaring in the area since they bought the Miami Mansion. Thanks to the publicity generated by their high-profile relationship, real estate will increase, TMZ reports.
Us confirmed last month that Lopez and Rodriguez listed their Malibu home for $8 million. The beachfront residence, which spans over 4,400 square feet, has five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The twosome bought the home from actor Jeremy Piven for $6.6 million in February 2019. Lopez even reached out to Fixer Upper’s Joanna Gaines for advice on how to renovate the property.
The twosome have been spending a lot of time in Miami in recent months at the former baseball player’s home in the Coral Gables neighborhood. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer confirmed in March that they were quarantined there amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A number of big-name stars have sold their homes and moved away from the area in recent years, such as ROSIE O’DONNELL and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal.
Meanwhile, the couple is still on hold with their wedding since the coronavirus pandemic forced them to change their wedding plans.
Jennifer has admitted to being “a little heartbroken” about the wedding delay but states “God has a bigger plan so we just have to wait and see. Maybe it’s going to be better. I have to believe that it will be.”
JLo adds:
There’s no planning right now. You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out.

It’s disappointing on one level, you know, after the Super Bowl and after filming ‘World of Dance’ … I planned to take time off, which is what we’re doing kind of right now, but at the same time, you know, we had a lot of plans for this summer and this year but, everything’s kinda on hold right now.
