Their Soul Food, Latin American, Puerto Rican soul food restaurant in New Rochelle closed in the early part of the year.

According to several reliable sources have confirmed that the Rich Dollaz and Peter Gunz restaurant Get Soul has closed its doors.

The Hungry Onion reports:

“Just off 95 in New Rochelle, the building that had housed ChefWorks, Don Coqui and most recently Get Soul!, appears to have closed. For Lease signs in the lower windows. A call to the restaurant redirects you to Jimmy’s new spot on W. 38th St., Manhattan.”

The reviews on Yelp were all great, but the site now appears to advice the location is no more. It gives the suggestion of similar type restaurants.

Before Dollaz and Peter Gunz restaurant closed faithful patrons gave their reviews on Yelp, saying:

“I would recommend anyone to come here Sundays the brunch n endless food from 12pm-5m.”

Another reviewer said:

“The DJ was rocking from old school to new school, reggae to reggaeton which set the tone for a great night!!”

Then, there was this review recommending the candied yams:

“My daughter ordered the fried chicken and she got four nice size pieces with mac and cheese which wasn’t so good and candied yams.”

We are actually bummed since we wanted to try out Get Soul when we were heading to New York this summer. Guess that won’t happening.
