CelebNMusic247.com had a great time watching band like Oceans Ate Alaska + Broadside.

We were not as familiar with Oceans Ate Alaska + Broadside, but both bands put on great performances. What we liked about Broadside was their high energy set. The pop punk band from Richmond, Virginia brought it to the stage, and that is what its about. Like Sum 41 and NFG, Broadside had us engaged. They killed it in the mid hours of the day perfectly placed in the festival. Music lovers were up front and ready for to watch Dorian Cooke, Ollie Baxter, Niles Gibbs, Andrew Dunton, and Josh Glupker give their all.

The Birmingham, UK natives, Oceans Ate Alaska is made up of James Harrison (Vocals), James Kennedy (Guitar), Adam Zytkiewicz (Guitar), Mike Stanton (Bass), and Chris Turner (Drums). They made their debut this year in the US on the Warped tour. If you like your metal served extremely hard then we recommend the fury of Oceans Ate Alaska. They offer fans a progressive strain of experimental modern metalcore music. Their sound is infectious and they’re one of metal’s most exciting and fresh young names. They were one of the harder bands that dominated the stage at Vans at Shoreline. They were awesome, you could feel the music rip out your chest and squeeze the air out of your lungs. These guys are intense to watch, but a lot of fun to watch live.

The bands name Oceans Ate Alaska references the world’s largest recorded mega-tsunami, measuring at 1,700 feet high, which demolished Alaska’s coastline in 1958. When you see them live expect three things to happen. First, they’ll hit you with ruthless riffs, and unforgiving guttural vocals. Second, they will take you down a path of destruction like a tsunami. Third, they will crush your senses and rebuild you to beg for more.
