The Fate of The DCEU Based on Justice League

The Fate of The DCEU Based on Justice League

This sounds like a pretty tall order, but if Justice League is as good as Wonder Woman then there should be no worries. However, if the Justice League is too dark and dull like the theatrical Batman vs Superman, then the DCEU will have major problems.

We can already see what is working for DC and that is Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn. Will Justice League be a hit? Read on…

The Fate of The DCEU Based on Justice League

One of the major problems is that Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy was brilliant, and Ben Affleck as the Bat is less than impressive.

CelebNMovies247.com‘s Emilio Ricci weighs in:

He is lackluster and one dimensional. Superhero is NOT his forte. We almost feel like he needs to go back to get a refresher course with an acting coach on how to make Bruce Wayne have layers instead of playing him angry in every scene. Bruce is conflicted, angry, sad, lonely, broken and wants to avenge his parents murder. He lacked to convy any of that. Plus, we’ve seen Batman so many times that Affleck is the worst of four actors. Michael Keaton was brilliant, George Clooney was the casanova Bruce Wayne, and Christian Bale was superb. Bale gave us everything you want the Batman to be and more. Affleck brought us nothing but anger and was lackluster on screen.

Here’s what Forbes writer Mark Hughes had to say about the DCEU’s fate:

“The truth is, a lot is riding on how 2017 pans out. The studio wants to see how Wonder Woman performs (so far so good on that front) and how Justice League turns out, before they barrel ahead with multiple more films every year. More films will get made, don’t worry, but it makes sense to ease off the gas a little and be certain about the best route ahead.”

Since Batman vs Superman was criticized so much by everyone as an EPIC FAIL, Warner Bros. has seemed to be very reactionary. They’ve changed their plans quite a bit since first announcing their DCEU movie slate.

Right now, Wonder Woman is the first DCEU movie to be a HUGE Box office success for Warner Bros. – critics and fans are loving Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Like Christian Bale, Gadot is everything you want Wonder Woman to be. She gives you every layer of emotion and conflict Diana struggles with.

So where does the DCEU stand?

With trouble behind-the-scenes with movies like The Flash and Justice League Dark, the DCEU has shifted release dates, and alternate movies announced. Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2, Nightwing, The Batman and Batgirl are all in various stages of development. Not to mention that Wonder Woman 2 being pushed to the forefront to keep the DCEU a float.
