The Caped Crusader, Ben Affleck, who will be reprising his role as the bat in the upcoming Justice League film is sick of Batman question.
When it comes to the stand-alone Batman movie, CelebNMovis247.com has learned Ben Affleck doesn’t want to talk about it until the movie is in the can. Despite fans eagerly awaiting news about the upcoming project, Ben explains he is taking his time.
Affleck wants people to realize that he has other projects besides Batman. Maybe he didn’t realize how becoming a superhero takes presidence over his other Oscar Award winning projects. Or even his new feature Live by Night, currently in theaters.
We guess Ben didn’t realize the pitfalls of being Batman. It sound like this is why Michael Keaton left the role back in the 90s. He was losing his identity to a fictional superhero. We wonder how long Affleck will stay on board.
He tells Entertainment Tonight:
“Oh my God, it’s such a pain in the a** (to be constantly asked about the movie). It’s, like, every time I mention Batman it gets this huge click bait. And when I was doing (Live by Night), it took me two years to get it together, but no one ever asked me, ‘Where is Live by Night?’”
The 44-year-old continues:
“They ask me, ‘Batman, Batman, Batman’. Batman is coming along. It’s going to be great. We’re going to make something really special. We’re going to take the time to make it right. We’re going to do it good. We’re going to do it the right way and the fans are going to love it.”
The 44-year-old recently revealed there currently isn’t a script in place for The Batman movie, and insisted if he isn’t happy with the end result, he’ll walk away from the project.
Ben told The Guardian
“If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great I’m not going to do it.”
During an interview with BBC Radio 1, and the interviewer asked Affleck if working on the superhero movie taught him anything as an actor and director.
Ben responsed saying:
“It taught me not to do interviews with Henry Cavill where I don’t say anything and they could lay Simon and Garfunkel tracks over it, that’s one thing I learned.”
Do you think that his escape clause?
Fans caught wind of sad Ben Affleck and made a #SadBatman meme, which he couldn’t pass up without responding to it.
