CelebnMusic247.com reports that Demi Lovato continues to reveal bits and pieces on why she dumped Max Ehrich after their coronavirus lockdown relationship ended.

Demi recently spoke to Glamour about how ending her engagement with Max helped her embrace her sexuality.

Lovato said:

When I started getting older, I started realizing how queer I really am. This past year, I was engaged to a man, and when it didn’t work, I was like, ‘This is a huge sign.’ I thought I was going to spend my life with someone. Now that I wasn’t going to, I felt this sense of relief that I could live my truth.” She also added that she feels “too queer” to be with a cis man.

Demi continued:

I hooked up with a girl and was like, ‘I like this a lot more.’ It felt better. It felt right.

When news of the couple’s split first broke, things initially seemed mutual, but that was far from the truth.

Demi Lovato put all the blame on Max at the time.

He was heartbroken and learned of the breakup while he was on set.

A source told the publication:

It was very hurtful to Demi when she realized that Max’s intentions weren’t genuine. Breaking off the engagement was not an easy decision.

According to the insider, their relationship began to change after Max headed to Atlanta to film a movie.

The source said:

Max shot up in fame…He got wrapped up in [Hollywood].

Though it was NOT a match, the former celebrity couple are still friends.

A source told People:

They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.

Shortly after the breakup, Demi released the self-love anthem “Still Have Me.” The song seemingly addresses the struggles Demi has gone through since her public breakup.

Max, on the other hand, has spoken out about the end of their relationship a number of times, including taking to his Instagram Stories.
