CelebnMusic247.com reports how the celebrity couple has grown over the years since they got married in 2017 and welcomed their first child together, Ice Davis, in late 2020.

On May 14th, Gucci and Ka’Oir celebrated their 4th Anniversary.

Gucci took to social media thanking his wife and mother of their baby for sticking by his side.

He writes:

Happy 4th Anniversary to my beautiful wife MrsDavis I love you. I really got the best wife in the world and even though our wedding was 10/17/17 we really got married 4 years ago today and that was the best decision I ever made. Thank you for staying by my side when I was in prison, thanks for being someone I can trust, and thank you for my son Ice ?. I adore you and I’ll never take you for granted. Love always Gucci

Radric Delantic Davis and Keyshia Ka’oir had to deal with many relationship hurdles over the years. Gucci has faced many hurdles since he racked up up numerous assault charges and had to attend a court-ordered a psychiatric hospital in 2011. But in 2014 his firearms conviction really took its toll on Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir. As a result of this conviction, Gucci went to prison for two years.

When it comes to his 2014 prison sentence, Gucci Mane spoke with Billboard.

He said:

When I went to prison, I knew that I was special. I knew I was unique, and I knew I had something to offer that a lot of people didn’t. When I got out I said, ‘I’m going to show everybody.’

The hip hop couple also discussed how Gucci‘s lean addiction plagued him. Before going to prison in 2014, Gucci fell out with various friends and connections and got in many physical altercations with fans. He was temporarily dropped from Atlantic in 2013 and got into Twitter beefs with various other rappers, including Nicki Minaj and Yo Gotti.

Keyshia Ka’oir Stood By Gucci’s Side:

Keyshia Ka’oir recalled:

He was all over the place. It wasn’t a surprise for any of us. He was terrible at times.

Ka’oir would speak to him multiple times every day of his sentence, providing constant reassurance. She also sent him organic groceries on holidays and even schedule her meals around his prison schedule.

She revealed:

I remember telling him over the phone, ‘Just allow me to love you and come home to me.’ And those were the words and the conversations and the emails that got him out safe.

Despite Ka’oir‘s reassurance, Gucci Mane was still in a dark place while behind bars.

How Gucci Got Out Of Being In A Dark Place:

Gucci explains that he would mistreat her from prison by berating her online and went off on her after being in solitary confinement for two weeks.

Basically, he was an utter ass, but Gucci revealed:

I was in such a bad place when I went to prison, and I just give her all the credit. She definitely is a blessing and I’m grateful for her. I don’t take her for granted.

How did Gucci Fix Himself?

Gucci Mane then took the opportunity to discuss his experience with court-mandated therapy following his release.

Everybody used to say that I was bipolar; I wanted to know if it’s true or not. [The therapist] told me I was fine. [She] suggested I don’t come anymore.

How Gucci and Keyshia’s Black Love Stood The Test of Time

Gucci says that the experience opened his eyes to the importance of therapy and that he has his own therapist now.

He said:

There’s a stigma that we have to get past, especially in the Black community. Everybody needs to take care of their mental health and shouldn’t be ashamed if they’re going through something and reach out to a professional.

They also reflected on how much Gucci Mane has changed over the years.

Keyshia Ka’oir said:

He doesn’t travel with a gun anymore. When we first met, the gun was on his lap at all times. Now, he’s definitely a businessman.
