CelebNMusic247.com reports that Atlanta police have not confirmed that Johnson, aka Lil Marlo, was the victim of the incident.

According to an Instagram post from Lil Yachty, who seemingly confirmed Lil Marlo’s death, he was traveling from the studio.

Lil Yachty, whose real name is Miles Parks McCollum, captioned a photo with Marlo stating:

We just did a song at 4 this morning smh rip brother.

This also lets us know that the shooting on I-285 near the Benjamin E. Mays Drive overpass in Atlanta took place after 4 am.

Today.com reports:

The medical examiner’s office confirmed to NBC News on Sunday morning that a deceased individual by the name of Rudolph Johnson was brought in during the last 24 hours after reports surfaced of the rapper’s death. Johnson was reportedly 27, though the medical examiner’s office told NBC News he was 30.

He would have joined the 27 club, but Marlo was 30-years-old.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner confirmed they will be investigating the death of a man by the name of Rudolph Johnson, but did not state if he is the rapper.

He is know for his song with Lil Baby & Marlo “2 The Hard Way”:
