Black Nativity is an inspiration musical event for the big screen which stars Tyrese Gibson, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson just in time for Thanksgiving.
Here is the synopsis of the musical motion picture Black Nativity which hits theaters on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th.
The film is about street-wise teen Langston (Jacob Latimore) from Baltimore who has been raised by a single mother, but is forced to travels to New York City to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives after his mother gets evicted from their home. The musical follows Langston as he embarks on a surprising and inspirational journey.
Black Nativity has a star-studded cast including, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J Blige, Nasir Jones aka Nas and more. The film is written by poet Langston Hughes, and screenplay by Kasi Lemmons – directed by Kasi Lemmons.
