(CelebNMusic247-News) Lil Wayne Apologizes For Lackluster Music

The  the MTV Video Music Awards are tomorrow, so Lil Wayne has offered his reaction to not being nominated for any of the awards.

Not only has @LilTunechi been overlooked for award worthy music, he was not invited to perform either.   In a tweet on Saturday (Aug 24),  Lil Wayne said that he “apologizes to the fans” for being overlooked. He also pointed out that he received no nominations for the BET Awards.

Instead of blaming the awards shows for their oversight, like most rappers and artist like Justin Bieber have done, Lil Wayne holds himself responsible for putting out anything worthy enough for consideration.

Wayne’s last album, Am Not A Human Being II, came out back in March 2013. In 2012, he released his Dedication 4 mixtape with DJ Drama. Both projects received mixed reviews, and I Am Not A Human Being II has had moderate success commercially, having thus far sold less than 600,000 units.

But let’s be real Lil Wayne’s music has lost its punch, its become a lackluster mash of weak rhymes and aimless ramblings and careless raps and blatantly disrespecting black history events that show signs of the rappers career peeking after he released The Carter III. Weezy’s music has been a disappointment for the past 9 months and has been steadily getting worse in our book. His crew like Nicki Minaj may say he’s a genius with his lyrical skill, but it seems his genius has left the building.

We are hoping that the Dedication 5 has something to offer because the the forth installment was a waste. Wayne is known for his prolific output, but his past songs feel rush, not thought out and simple, there’s no true hunger in his music anymore.  The New Orleans native has hinted to retiring over the past years and we are starting to agree that he needs some time off and not be heard for a couple years so he can get his hunger back, his spit on point and his lyrics tight.

Let Drake and Nicki hold down Young Money Entertainment for a while, because the signs are there that Wayne needs to sit back and relax.

Instead we are looking forward to Drake‘s much-anticipated Nothing Was The Same more so than the Dedication 5.
