247 Status Check: Olandria and Nic Are Split

Consider this the paperwork catching up with the group chat. Our 247 Status Check board has carried Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe as a couple to keep an eye on — and as of this week, their entry officially reads SPLIT. To be clear about the timeline, because dates matter on a status board: this breakup is not new. It was confirmed in July 2026, a little over a year after the pair finished as runners-up on Love Island USA Season 7.

How the split was confirmed

Per People, a source confirmed on July 22, 2026 that the fan-favorite couple — “Nicolandria” to everyone who watched Casa Amor change their trajectory — had called it quits. The reason given was the oldest one in the long-distance handbook: geography and workload. “The distance between them and their busy schedules made it challenging to maintain their connection,” the source told People, adding that the two “still remain close friends” who “share a deep love and respect for each other.”

Four days later, on July 26, Nic confirmed it himself in a statement shared to his TikTok subscribers, per USA Today. “The rumors are true. I didn’t want to give people false hope, so I want to clear the air,” he wrote. “We will continue to love each other ALWAYS. It’s a sensitive, as well as a private subject, thank you for respecting our privacy.”

The geography was always the story underneath the romance. Per Page Six, Carthen, originally from Georgia, relocated to Los Angeles after the villa, while Vansteenberghe kept his home base in Jacksonville, Florida — opposite coasts, opposite calendars, and two careers that accelerated in different directions the moment the show ended.

Why the board is only moving now

A status board that changes on rumor is just gossip with a spreadsheet. Our rule on the tracker is the same one we apply everywhere: a status only moves on a confirmation — the person’s own statement or a reputable outlet — and this one has both, dated and on the record, since July. The update is overdue, not undecided, and we would rather post the correction late than have quietly carried a “together” that stopped being true in the summer.

There has been noise since, and we are logging it as noise. In August, the two were both at Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns’ wedding, and Nic played coy when asked whether they had reunited — “I’m going to keep that private for now,” per OK Magazine. Coy is not a confirmation. Until one of them says otherwise, in their own words, the board reads SPLIT, and the wedding photos read as two friendly exes at a nice party.

The 247 Take — Nicolandria was the rare villa couple the audience rooted for like family, and the most respectful thing a tracker can do is tell the truth about where they landed: apart since July, friendly by every account, and confirmed by the man himself. Status boards earn trust by being right, not by being first — this one is right now, with the receipts dated July 22 and July 26 for anyone who wants to check.
