It has already been announced that Maroon 5 is doing the Super Bowl LIII halftime in 2019 with Cardi B.
The only thing is Cardi B wants her own full spotlight without Maroon 5. Read on…
New York rapper Cardi B wants the full spotlight for Super Bowl LIII halftime. CelebNMusic247.com has learned that the hip-hop superstar is reportedly knee-deep in negotiations to hit the stage.
Word is, Cardi wants to secure her own set when rumored group Maroon 5 perform in February.
TMZ reports:
Our sources say Cardi is in negotiations to perform her song with Maroon 5, “Girls Like You” — and the main issue being discussed is whether or not CB gets a solo set. We’re told she’s getting a lot of offers to perform in early February … so she’s trying to make the best deal possible. Super Bowl LIII is being held in Atlanta, and some fans were hoping the NFL would give props to the ATL’s hot music scene.
Let’s be real for a minute.
Maroon 5 is utterly boring in concert. The only thing that the band has going for them is Adam Levine. How did Cardi B get into the mix for Super Bowl?
Easy, she and Adam have the song “Girls Like You” together.
Of course, The NFL is all on board to have Cardi B featured in the halftime while Maroon 5 do their performance, but the “Drip” rapper wants her own set. We don’t blame her because she needs to ride the wave while it lasts.
