Getter has shared the most personal update of his career — and it is a genuinely happy one. In a candid Instagram post reported by EDM.com on Oct. 22, the producer said that finally doing something about his mental health has changed how he experiences his own life. “After finally doing something about my mental health, I feel like I can actually FEEL my emotions again,” he wrote.
He traced the change back to years of putting his work and his art ahead of everything else — a focus he said kept him locked on what he wanted and what he thought he needed, and unable to recognize what he already had. In his words, he had uncovered “a f*ck ton of repressed problems & habits that got baked into my brain because of my lack of self-care.”

The turnaround, as he tells it, was deliberate. “I started caring about my overall health,” he wrote. “I stopped playing the victim, stopped making excuses, stopped lying to my loved ones to make myself comfortable, and stopped running away every time my false sense of happiness felt threatened.” He said he sat with the pain instead of running from it, worked through it, and began to feel a self-confidence he had lacked for years.
That clarity turned into a gesture. He took an impromptu trip to Romania, where he proposed to his fiancée. He closed the post by encouraging others to put in the same kind of work on themselves: “I can’t remember the last time I felt this clear-minded and happy. And I’ll work every day to make sure I don’t lose this feeling.”
The announcement lands in the middle of a creative comeback. Per EDM.com, Getter ended an indefinite hiatus from electronic music in 2025 and returned with “Born 2 Stunt,” his first original track under the Getter name in more than four years. He also releases hip-hop music under his Terror Reid alias.
