There is friendly co-parenting, and then there is whatever delightfully unbothered thing the The Flip Off crew is doing. Per People, Tarek El Moussa shared an Instagram post on Wednesday, Oct. 21 built around an old clip of himself, his wife Heather Rae El Moussa and his ex-wife Christina Haack dancing through the famous spirit tunnel during a 2025 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show to promote Season 1 of their HGTV show.
Over the video of the trio dancing through the tunnel and smiling, Tarek added text that read, per People: “Rich because I have two women who say, ‘We’ve got this,’ instead of making me feel like I’m alone.” In the caption, he added, per People: “I think we can all agree that I have good taste in women,” before joking, “Some might say I definitely have a type.”
The comments section understood the assignment. Per People, Haack’s boyfriend Chris Larocca — who is also involved in Season 2 of The Flip Off — reacted playfully, joking: “Give the blonde in the black pants my number please,” referring to his girlfriend of two years.
For anyone who has not kept up with this particular blended family tree: Haack and Tarek were married from 2009 to 2016 and, per People, first went through a messy divorce before mending their relationship. They share daughter Taylor, 16, and son Brayden, 11. Heather, a Selling Sunset star, married Tarek in October 2021, and per People she and Christina initially got off to a rough start before building the strong bond viewers now see.
Tarek El Moussa: The Type Joke Explained
The “type” joke is not new territory for this trio, either. Per People, Haack addressed it in an exclusive interview in 2024: “On social media, everyone’s always like, ‘Oh, they look so much alike,’ or ‘Wow, he has a type.'” She added at the time: “Obviously, we are both blonde, but we don’t really think that we look alike.” The pair have since played into the similarities themselves in a series of cheeky promo videos for The Flip Off, per People.
One important scheduling note for fans reading this as a Season 2 countdown: per People, Season 2 of The Flip Off is currently in the works, but a premiere date has yet to be announced. That matches the standing picture — filming has been underway, Larocca appears this season, and HGTV has not announced a date. Do not let anybody sell you one until HGTV does.
Which is, honestly, the most interesting part of this whole post. A lot of exes can manage polite. Tarek, Heather and Christina are out here doing choreographed tunnel dances, trading “my type” jokes in public, and letting Christina’s boyfriend play along in the comments — while cameras roll on a second season built entirely on that dynamic. The show’s real renovation project was never a house.
