Porsha Williams RHOA: In Love and Rebuilding

Porsha Williams on the New RHOA Season: “I’m in Love. I’m Rebuilding.”

Paris front rows, a Gizelle road-dog era, and a Porsha who says she’s not bringing the drama — she’s just not avoiding it anymore.

Don’t make us call Porsha — KMEL already did, and baby, she had plenty to say. Fresh off wrapping The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th — the franchise’s two-decade celebration — Porsha Williams sat down with KMEL to talk the special, her Paris Fashion Week debut, and what she’s carrying into the new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

First, the glow-up report. Asked what her younger, first-season self would be proudest of, Porsha pointed straight at confidence. “When I joined the show, I was so green and young and just innocent,” she told KMEL. “Over the years, I’ve built such a thick skin. I’ve also built a great brand over the years. A trustworthy, relatable brand… ‘You gonna be all right, girl. 265 days a year, you still standing strong.'”

Front row at Schiaparelli

The interview’s fashion chapter is a genuine first: Porsha had never been to Paris Fashion Week until stylist Law Roach — who she met about a year ago through Watch What Happens Live — called and told her he wanted her at the Schiaparelli show. “When I met the Schiaparelli team, they were like, ‘Oh, we’ve seen you in our Schiaparelli, and we thought you were fabulous and we wanted you,'” she said. “It was just an amazing, magical experience to be at the showroom, being dressed by them, walking with the most powerful man in fashion, sitting front row… So I’ve got the bug now.”

And the Ultimate Girls Trip tea? Her kikis with Gizelle Bryant were real. “Gizelle doesn’t give me a day off. There’s no days off with Gizelle. Gizelle is the queen of making it happen,” Porsha laughed. “She’s the perfect road dog.” She also revealed a scene that did NOT make the edit — a tearful heart-to-heart with castmate Lisa about feeling misunderstood and just wanting a real friend on your side — and, pressed on whether she’s one of Andy Cohen’s favorites, kept it cute: “I know Andy loves me and I love Andy, and I think that is okay.”

“I’m not bringing drama for real”

So what is she bringing to Atlanta this season? “I’m in love. I’m in love. And I’m working very hard. I’m rebuilding. I’m focused on me,” Porsha said. “I’m not bringing drama for real. I’m finding myself in it, as I just did, but I’m not looking for it. And I’m not avoiding it. I think in the past, I have avoided drama, but now I’m still upfront, but it’s in a way to educate whomever needs to be educated or schooled.” The cast’s Bahamas trip, she teased, left everyone with “pure intentions of being a family” — rocky in places, but trying.

Off-screen, she’s also hosting a Charmin immersive experience in New York City on Tuesday, October 20 — Charmin Bears, a lowrider, and photo ops — because raising your standards, apparently, starts at home. A Housewife in love, front row in Paris, and booked with the bears: Porsha’s next chapter is busy.
