Weezy seemed adamant to part ways with the label, but the president of the label, Mack Maine, weighed in on Wayne’s comments in an interview with Miami’s 99 Jamz, exlaining that C5 will be on its way soon enough.

Mack said:

“He’s touching up the album and about to start another special project for the people.”

“I can’t give a definitive date [for C5]. I can just say first quarter for sure… It’s coming out. Don’t get it twisted like it’s not coming out.”

Maine then touched on the apparent rift between Wayne and his father figure, Birdman:

“I wouldn’t pinpoint anyone personally… That’s my uncle and my brother that you’re talking about.”

“I got an optimistic, positive vibe about everything. It’s just some business that’s gon’ need to be handled… Once that’s handled we’re going to keep moving. And it’s getting handled as we speak… Everybody has their breaking point… I support Wayne 1,000 percent. I feel like this matter will get resolved. Period. If I’m still around it’ll be resolved.”

According to Mack Maine, Wayne is in the studio doing some final touches on the album, but this time it’s NOT just one label attached to Wayne’s album. There is Cash Money, Young Money, Universal, and a 4th that has yet been revealed.

Maine seems to be the glue that gels everything together for the joint label deal with Universal, but his brother Wayne is truly the artist and his Uncle, Birdman is the business, so there is always family feuds.

Wayne needs to chill and let Maine and Bird do what they need to for the release of the Carter V.

We spoke to an insider who said they heard some of the tracks and were like “are they calling that music?” With that statement alone, we understand why Birdman needs Wayne to fix some of the tracks to make them hits. The beef between YM vs CM will hopefully come to amends so the can reunite the B (business).
