Luke Cage Debuts in Jessica Jones on Netflix!!!

We know that Krysten Ritter and The “Matrix” veteran Carrie-Anne Moss are part of Jessica Jones, but did you know Luke Cage Debuts in Jessica Jones on Netflix.

Since Marvel’s ambitious launched partnership with Netflix to bring four shows based on their characters to a channel streaming near you. We have the newest superhero series on the block called Marvel’s Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter, but who else is cast in this highly anticipated new series?

Jessica Jones/Luke Cage

Fans will first meet Cage on Jessica Jones – Cage is a friend/love interest of Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), before his own show kicks off in 2016.

As For Luke Cage, the soon to be newest Marvel series on Netflix is currently filming on the streets of NYC. The Cage series stars Mahershala Ali, Mike Colter, Rosario Dawson, Frankie Faison, Alfre Woodard and more…

If you’re NOT familiar with Luke Cage, he was endowed with impenetrable skin and superhuman strength, as a result of a prison experiment gone wrong. Historically he isn’t the traditional superhero, since he opens up his own business, Heroes for Hire. Where you can purchase his superheroics as a service.

Here is what CelebNMusic247.com is hearing via ScreenRant that the first season of Luke Cage will be about.

Ali is playing Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, a Harlem nightclub owner with a more nefarious role as an underworld figure – and who also happens to be Minetta’s cousin.

Unofficial plot rumors point to a story in which Cage (as a younger man) led a life of petty crime until he was framed by a friend (Willis “Diamondback” Stryker). It’s in prison that Cage undergoes an experiment that gives him impervious skin and super strength; once out, he vows to use his powers as a “hero for hire,” until Diamondback’s gang activity brings him into Cage’s life once again.

Minetta/Cottonmouth connection we’re seeing here suggests that there could be some sort of organized crime syndicate operating in Harlem (conspiring with politicians or blackmailing them). It would only add to the drama to have Cage’s old friend as a major mastermind behind that syndicate.

If nothing else, the Luke Cage Netflix series seems to have a size-appropriate antagonist for Cage to battle: big enough to be a threat and add gravitas, but small enough to be well-suited to a Marvel “street-level” hero.
