CelebNMusic247.com has learned on Wednesday that Kodak Black has been sentenced to nearly four years behind bars; three years and 10 months via his lawyer Mohammed Gangat.

Here is what we’ve learned about Kodak Black sentence.

The sentencing is half of the government’s recommended 8-year sentence; Kodak was facing up to 10 years in prison.

Kodak was also recently involved in an altercation with a prison guard while under the influence of a controlled substance. According to Gangat, a guard was attacked by Kodak and remains in the hospital awaiting surgery for a hernia-related injury after Kodak grabbed his groin and would not let go.

Jack Brook, who covers crime, courts, and environment for the Miami Herald, also reported on Kodak’s altercation with a guard.

Brook reports:

South Florida rapper @KodakBlack1k sentenced to 46 months in prison today in Miami federal court. He also allegedly hospitalized a corrections officer a couple of weeks ago—the officer requires surgery after Kodak Black reportedly grabbed his testicles and wouldn’t let go.

Kodak Black initially found himself in trouble on the federal gun charges after making a false statement on government paperwork when filing a firearms application.

We previously reported that Black checked a “no” box on the application which asked if the applicant was under indictment for a felony. He was later arrested for falsifying documents. Not to mention that he has a previous criminal sexual conduct case in 2016 which led to an indictment.
