Last night (Aug 25) at the VMAs Lil Kim and Iggy Azalea sounded off with a lyrical attack on Nicki Minaj with Lighter’s Up and a warning when complimenting Kim!
If you were paying close attention during the MTV Video Music Awards you might have caught the subliminal diss that Lil Kim and Iggy Azalea fired off at Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj may NOT have been at the VMA’s last night, but there was good reason that she wasn’t there. That is the Queen Bees turf and Nicki is NOT welcome! No w you might say we are reading into things way too much, but both of these ladies have had beef with the Young Money Entertainment rap star, that is why we reached out to a few of our inside sources who all said the same thing.
When Lil Kim and Iggy Azalea entered the VMA’s there was some music playing in the background. If you’re not familiar or don’t remember, it was Lil Kim’s anthem “Lighter’s Up.”
The lyrics to “Lighter’s Up” read as follows which many people backstage believe were direct shots fired off at Nicki.

Now we spoke to a few inside sources that were backstage at the VMA’s and they claim the track was a warning shot directed at Minaj, telling her that Brooklyn belongs to the Queen Bee aka Lil Kim! This shouldn’t come to anyone’s surprise since Nicki has been firing nasty diss tracks and verses at Kim since she found her claim to fame.
The next shot came from Iggy, who sounded off giving props to Lil Kim by making mention that the VMAs were in Brooklyn and that it was the hip hop Icons territory.
