Erin Says She Didn’t Spread the Pavit Rumor — Jessel Says It’s How Erin Weaponized It That Hurts

A three-year-old confidence, a preview clip calling Erin “ruthless,” and a comment-section feud with Carole have turned one RHONY rumor into a fight about friendship itself.

Every Housewives season has one rumor that will not stay in the episode where it started, and the Erin Lichy Pavit rumor RHONY fight is this season’s. On The Real Housewives of New York City right now, that rumor is about Pavit Randhawa — and everybody involved agrees on almost nothing except that it should never have been handled this way.

Here is the chain, as reported by Reality Blurb. In the latest episode, Sai de Silva alleged — after hearing from Jenna Lyons that Erin Lichy had been talking about Sai’s divorce — that Erin had spread a rumor that Pavit, husband of Jessel Taank, was gay and had hooked up with men in the steam room at his gym.

Erin, in a preview of the upcoming episode via Bravo TV reported by Reality Blurb, flatly pushes back. Talking with Carole Radziwill and Daisy Toye, she addressed Sai’s claim that she said despicable things about Pavit and insisted she has not said a word about Jessel’s husband in three years. Her version, per Reality Blurb, is narrower and messier: she heard a rumor three years ago and told Sai about it in confidence, and she cannot understand why Sai would bring it out now.

Erin Lichy Pavit rumor RHONY: two versions, one broken confidence

In a confessional in that same preview, per Reality Blurb, Erin argues Sai is getting back at her because Sai believes Erin spoke about her divorce — in other words, exposing a private conversation as payback, which Erin calls the act of a terrible friend she wants as far away from her as possible. Daisy, for her part, suggested Sai needed fighting words.

Jessel hears it completely differently, and her distinction is the heart of this story. In the preview, per Reality Blurb, she calls Erin “ruthless” for spreading the rumor. Then, in an Instagram comment exchange reported by Reality Blurb, she answered Carole Radziwill, who had accused her of pretending to be furious. Jessel wrote that she did think the rumor itself was ridiculous — but that watching the season back and hearing Erin’s on-camera line about knowing something that would ruin her family changed it. In Jessel’s words, per Reality Blurb, that is weaponizing the rumor against them, and that is why she has every right to be furious.

Carole was not done. Per Reality Blurb, she fired back that Jessel’s timeline was off, saying Jessel’s initial reaction had been funny and perfect, that her fury had continued through filming last spring, and that by Jessel’s own admission she only learned about the ruin-her-family comment when she watched the show last week.

Three friendships taking damage at once

If your head is spinning, welcome to RHONY — where the timeline is the storyline. The Recapper is not here to declare who heard what in which year; the women themselves cannot agree on that, and it is playing out on camera. What is clear, and kind of sad underneath the snark, is that three different friendships are taking damage at once: Erin and Sai over a confidence allegedly broken, Erin and Jessel over a rumor allegedly held like leverage, and Jessel and Carole now sparring in public comments about how angry Jessel is allowed to be, and when.

Pavit himself, notably, had already tried to laugh this off earlier in the week with a gym video — but this preview shows the joke is over for Jessel. The next episode will not settle the three-year timeline question. It will, if the preview is any guide, make everyone pick a version — and in New York, picking a version is picking a side.
