Viola Davis Makes History At Emmy’s!!!

On Sunday, the Emmy Awards invaded So Cal during the sweltering hot Los Angeles but Viola Davis Makes History At Emmy’s.

The How To Get Away With Murder star had her moment to shine during the Emmy’s making history as the first black woman to land an award for BEST ACTRESS For Leading Ladies. But Davis raised some eyebrows when she spoke from the heart against the difficulties black women have traditionally faced in getting lead roles.

Looking at the audience you could see some bitter faces, but it wasn’t about white leading ladies, Viola took her moment to speak to the black women who paved the road for her like Taraji P Henson, Kerry Washington, Halle Berry, Meagan Good, Gabrielle Union and many more who broke down then walls for a talented actress like Viola Davis to win the illustrious award.

It was a moment in time, and Viola ceased the day and spoke from the heart saying:

“You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there.”
