Verdict In Slim Dunkin Murder Case

ATLANTA — A Fulton County jury is scheduled to resume deliberations in the shooting death of Atlanta-based rapper Slim Dunkin.

The jury deliberated Friday in the murder trial of 30-year-old rapper Vinson Hardimon and is set to resume Monday morning.

Jurors are being asked to decide whether Hardimon shot and killed 24-year-old Slim Dunkin, whose real name is Mario Hamilton. The shooting occurred during an altercation at an east Atlanta studio in December 2011. Hardimon is a rapper who uses the name Young Vito.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution ( http://bit.ly/VBVBCc) reports that while awaiting trial in the Slim Dunkin case, Hardimon pleaded guilty to an aggravated assault charge stemming from an incident involving a gun in April 2011.
