Tyrese Gunning For Green Lantern!!!

A few weeks ago Furious 7 star/R&B singer Tyrese announced his retirement from music, now Tyrese Gunning For Green Lantern role.

Marvel has no plans to sequel The Green Lantern with Ryan Reynolds. However, The Green Lantern will return to the big screen but not until 2017. The Green Lantern is set to appear in the “Justice League” films and will be in at least two of the films, so Tyrese Gibson is in full effect.

Actually, John Stewart aka the black Green Lantern first appeared in Green Lantern vol. 2, #87 (December 1971/January 1972) and has since become a major recurring character in the Green Lantern mythos within the DC Universe.

This might be a great fit for Tyrese, which is why he has decided to launch a furious campaign to get himself cast in it.

The 36-year-old actor and singer has taken to Instagram to let Warner Bros. execs know just how much he wants to play the emerald-hued hero, who will be featured in at least two new “Justice League” films, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The chiseled “Transformers” star has posted more than a dozen movie poster-style pics depicting himself as the hero, along with messages touting the interstellar law enforcer’s famous oath.

The actor wrote in his latest post Tuesday:

“DETERMINED!!!!!! “I am fully committed to suiting up for this adventure”

Tyrese then spoke the Lantern creed:

“In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might, Beware my power, Green Lantern’s light!!!”

Ty continued, posting:
